I’m Lavavoth, artist, writer, storyteller, researcher, cancer thriver. On this site, I explore my lived experience of marriage to a deceased man who lived in Germany. Strange as it sounds, these experiences are intertwined with universal themes of love, grief, spiritual growth, integration, humor, creativity, and post-death existence (afterlife). Through my public visual diary, I share a mix of confessional narratives, paranormal experiences, research-based explorations into art, spirituality, culture, and history. My blog is a sacred public space where I share my multimedia experiences, a personal chronicle I’ve been building since 2007, first on Blogger and now here. Each post stands on its own. My writing is an excavation of the soul, a continuous search for meaning, at times within the dark and incomprehensible, and within my ongoing relationship with my deceased beloved who's been with me since 1993.

My abstract (and figurative) art draws on the ethereal, the surreal, and the personal, inspired in part by the stillness of the forest sanctuary on my land and Hans's presence (my spirit husband). These biomorphic creations weave together fluid forms and enigmatic shapes to evoke mystery, transcendence, and the elements of the paranormal. My shop is currently under construction. Stay tuned.
